Role Overview
First Capital Shared Services Ltd seeks an ESB Developer to handle enterprise integration and API development. The successful candidate will build, test, deploy, and maintain integration solutions while ensuring robust support and proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The position entails creating and maintaining REST and SOAP APIs, conducting API evaluations via Postman and SoapUI, and establishing connectivity across databases, files, FTP/SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and Web Services. Additional duties include setting up logging, error handling, and monitoring, troubleshooting integration problems, and engaging in overall development, deployment, and production assistance.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants need a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, paired with one to three years of background in integration and ESB development. Essential competencies involve XML, JSON, XSD, Web Services, SQL, database integrations, and version control tools like Git, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, or SVN, along with familiarity with Agile frameworks and the SDLC. Advantageous attributes include knowledge of Java, API Management platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Magic xpi or comparable ESB platforms, and previous exposure to the financial services or banking sector. Candidates must also be ready to engage in BAU, production operations, and occasional after-hours support.
