Role Overview
The Ravenala Attitude is seeking a General Cashier to support financial operations at Pamplemousses, Mauritius. This position focuses on upholding financial transparency, facilitating accurate reporting, and enforcing internal protocols for all monetary transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cash collection and verification by gathering revenues from operational departments, tallying funds, and ensuring exact reconciliations.
- Prepare daily bank deposits following organizational regulations, complete required paperwork, and manage banking tasks promptly.
- Keep precise logs of all incoming and outgoing funds to support future reviews and verification checks.
- Track daily cash flow to maintain optimal reserve levels and report any variances immediately.
- Administer petty cash funds, handle staff reimbursements according to company standards, and perform routine account reconciliations.
- Deliver daily cash movement summaries to the Financial Controller and assist during internal and external audits.
- Enforce security measures for all cash handling activities, perform spot checks, and escalate any security breaches.
- Support Accounts Payable tasks by checking supplier invoices, matching purchase orders with goods received notes, and preparing payment vouchers.
Requirements
- Must possess an HSC qualification.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant financial background, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- Demonstrated strong organizational abilities, clear communication, analytical aptitude, discretion, and high personal integrity.
