Role Overview

Tamassa Resort is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to help direct daily upkeep operations and lead the engineering staff in Savanne. The appointee will oversee facility conditions, coordinate service schedules, and ensure all building infrastructure meets high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-manage daily departmental workflow, service benchmarks, and task timetables for the engineering crew.
• Supervise and check off regular upkeep tasks across the property, covering mechanical, electrical, and HVAC units.
• Examine completed tasks visually, allocate internal staff, and guide external contractors according to productivity benchmarks.
• Keep up utility distribution networks alongside climate control, heating, ventilation, and cooling machinery.
• Address safety hazards promptly while monitoring fixtures and fittings to guarantee guest and staff security.
• Preserve the aesthetic state and mechanical readiness of the establishment through organized repair projects and utility management.
• Collaborate with departments like Housekeeping and Front Office, plus Head Office, to resolve repair needs and elevate guest satisfaction.
• Organize and schedule maintenance priorities for common spaces and visitor accommodations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Holds an HSC or equivalent qualification, paired with a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Requires a minimum of 3 years of background in an equivalent role or as a Maintenance Supervisor within a resort setting.
• Possesses an approachable, friendly, and extroverted disposition.
• Prepared to operate on flexible schedules, covering Sundays, public holidays, cyclone periods, and irregular hours.
• Must be willing to serve as Duty Manager when necessary.
• Demonstrates computer literacy and proficiency in managing operating expenses.
• Capable of handling team roster planning.
